Guided Forest Walks


Join knowledgeable and passionate volunteers for an hour-long guided walking tour through the ever-changing forests. Discover more about the trees, features and history of the National Arboretum Canberra.  

With over 20 kilometres of multipurpose trails winding through a mosaic of 97 individual forests  our guides will focus their tour on forests best matched to the season to ensure you get the most out of your experience.

Whilst you are here, surround yourself with some of Canberra’s best panoramic views, stunning architecture and themed, landscaped gardens. Visit and see why the National Arboretum Canberra was continues to be voted Canberra's Best Tourist Attraction.

*Most guided tours take place on uneven terrain, please contact the arboretum to discuss how we can adapt a tour for accessibility options.
*Bring a hat, drinking water, sturdy shoes and weather appropriate clothing.
*Recommended for ages 12 and over. Bookings required.
